Two Aussies on the list: I’ve already posted about The Slap, (see my review) but am unlikely to read Parrot and Olivier in America. I liked Carey’s quirky early work, i.e. Bliss and Oscar and Lucinda but haven’t enjoyed anything he’s written since he moved to the US.
The ones that most interest me are Rose Tremain, Emma Donoghue, and Damon Galgut.
