This month is New Zealand Book Month, but I’ve only just found out about it. But even though I’m late to the party, I’m joining in by reading The Aloe by my favourite Kiwi author of all time, Katherine Mansfield.
If you want to join in too, have a look at the reviews here via the New Zealand Literature tag or the NZ Literature or Maori categories – and drop by with a comment or a link to your blog post review.
Happy reading!
Lisa

Ahh, yay, I love Mansfield so much! It’s a little annoying that March is NZ book month as it seems to be the busiest time for me right now. But I’ll have to get in some NZ reading. Btw, will you be doing any Janet Frame?

I think I’ve got a Janet Frame somewhere, but if I have any time up my sleeve I think I’d like to read Prelude, which is apparently the work that is derived from The Aloe. Unfortunately this NZ Book Month coincides with the Shadow Independent Foreign Fiction Prize and I’ve got a lot of reading to do for that. I wish I’d known about it sooner..

Well that is rather timely because I’m reading Emily Perkins’ The Forrests as we speak.
