For the Book Awards Reading Challenge III there are 6 months to read 5 award winners.*
Rules:
Read 5 award winners between July 1, 2009 and Dec 1, 2009 from the awards listed as eligible on the website.
You must have at least FIVE different awards in your ten titles. If you want to include Australian and New Zealand awards, only the Miles Franklin, is eligible. Overlaps with other challenges are permitted.
You don’t have to post your choices right away, and your list can change at any time.
For this one, you must sign up using Mr. Linky and post to the Book Awards Reading Challenge Blog.
Subscribing to Book Awards Tragic is a good way to keep up with the wonderful world of book awards, but be warned, it is fatal for the TBR!
*The rules for the Awards Challenge III are different to the previous ones.
My five are:
Booker Prize: The Elected Member by Bernice Rubens (August)
Miles Franklin: Swords and Crowns and Rings by Ruth Park (September)
Nobel Prize: The Twyborn Affair by Patrick White (September)
Nobel Prize: The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway (November) (Oops, this one doesn’t count because I already have one Nobel prize winner.)
Alex Prize: Crow Lake by Mary Lawson (November)
I didn’t finish this challenge…I found the changed criteria and the limitations on the awards I could choose too restrictive.
