The Not the Booker Longlist

From the Guardian, comes the Not the Booker Longlist – and lo! there are some Aussies there.  They were only eligible if available in the UK, which excluded some worthies I am sure.   I have highlighted the Aussies in seasonal Spring green, with the usual doubts about claiming Mr Coetzee & MJ Hyland as ours.

The only ones I’ve read are Brooklyn by Colm Toibin and The Lieutenant by Kate Grenville, though on the TBR lies The Children’s Book by A.S . Byatt, and on order from Readings  Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel.

As for the rest, I have never heard of most of them but shall keep an eye out for them at the library….
