Longlist announced for Man Booker Prize 2010

The Booker Longlist is out, see Longlist announced for Man Booker Prize 2010: Man Booker Prize news.

There are already reviews of some of the longlist at Kevin from Canada, Kim is about to post a review of Room at Reading Matters and The Mookse and the Gripes has reviews too.

Two Aussies on the list:  I’ve already posted about The Slap, (see my review) but am unlikely to read Parrot and Olivier in America.  I liked Carey’s quirky early work, i.e. Bliss and Oscar and Lucinda but haven’t enjoyed anything he’s written since he moved to the US.

Update: I did read Parrot and Olivier, see my review here.

  1. The ones that most interest me are Rose Tremain, Emma Donoghue, and Damon Galgut.
