Alex Miller wins The Age Book of the Year for Lovesong

Excellent news!  The Age Book of the Year Award has been announced at the Melbourne Writers Festival today – and it goes to Alex Miller for his gorgeous novel, Lovesong.  To see my enthusiastic review, click here.

Other titles on the shortlist that I sincerely recommend are by first time novelists:  The World Beneath by Cate Kennedy and Come Inside by newcomer G.I. (Glenys) Osborne.  See my reviews here and here respectively.

Links to where you can buy these books are also on the review pages.

  1. Great news. A very good read. I hope Lovesong also wins the PM’s Literary Award.
