What a good shortlist! Often I look at shortlists and wonder about some of the titles suggested, but this one I found myself nodding with each one.

I think it’s an especially strong NF shortlist. I know I haven’t read them all, but I have heard such good things about Hazel Rowley’s bio, and the Manning Clark bio is very impressive. (I think it’s actually the longest book on my TBR LOL. Except maybe for Bolano’s 2666? I’d have to get them down and check to know for sure.)
