2012 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards

I’m a little late with this news because I had to make an unscheduled trip north to help out with aged parents, but I’m very pleased to announce the 2012 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards.

Fiction – Foal’s Bread by Gillian Mears, see my review
Poetry – Interferon Psalms by Luke Davies
Non-fiction – An Eye for Eternity: The Life of Manning Clark by Mark McKenna, on my TBR
Prize for Australian History – The Biggest Estate on Earth: How Aborigines Made Australia by Bill Gammage
Young adult fiction – When We Were Two by Robert Newton
Children’s fiction – Goodnight, Mice!em> By Frances Watts, illustrated by Judy Watson

I am especially pleased to see that Judy Watson is joint recipient of the Children’s Fiction award because she is a friend of ours (and a very entertaining dinner party guest!)

Congratulations to everyone!

    • Hi Celestine, forgive me if you’ve already done a post about this on your blog (I haven’t been a subscriber to it for very long) – but do you have literary awards in Ghana?
