Book Giveaway winner: Lentil as Anything, by Shanaka Fernando and Greg Hill

Lentil as AnythingThank you to entrants for the Book Giveaway,  Lentil as Anything I have drawn a winner using the random number generator at and am pleased to announce that it is a new visitor to this blog: congratulations to Jemma!

Lentil as Anything is the true story of Shanaka Fernando who founded the Lentil as Anything community restaurants in Melbourne, which operate on a ‘pay-what-you-feel-it’s-worth’ philosophy.  That is, you make an agreement with your conscience to pay what you can afford.   This book, co-written with Melbourne author Greg Hill, traces the remarkable story of Fernando’s life and how he came to make a success of his ‘unique financial model that is centred on the values of trust, generosity and respect that gives people the opportunity to eat out and be social regardless of their financial situation’.

Please remember that if I don’t already have your postal address, it is a condition of entry that you contact me within 10 days.  So Jemma, if you don’t get in touch, using the contact address right at the bottom of the RHS menu then I will re-draw  to draw a new winner.

Commiserations to those who missed out this time.  If you’d still like to read the book (and I hope you do!) please follow the links below or go to Pozible.
