John Boland’s marvellous musings at the SWF: Richard Flanagan in conversation with Steven Gale

If you love Richard Flanagan as I do, don’t miss this thoughtful report from John Boland at Musings of a Literary Dilettante: SWF: Richard Flanagan in conversation with Steven Gale.

  1. Thanks for the mention, Lisa. I’ll add this little note here: when I was walking to the Sydney Theatre I found myself strolling a few paces behind Flanagan. When he got to the door he stood there holding it open for a couple of fellow festival goers who funnily enough did not realise who he was – perhaps they were off to a different talk! Anyway, he’s a true gent.

    • That’s the thing about authors – so often we know them intimately from their books, but have no idea what they look like!
