  5. Merry Christmas to you too Lisa – have a bookish one!

  6. And a Merry Christmas to you too, Lisa, and thank you so much for all your terrific book reviews.

  7. Merry Christmas to you also Lisa. How are you marking the day? BBQ in shorts sounds more the thing than turkey and thick sweaters….

  8. Back at you, Lisa. Thanks for all the recommendations in 2017

  9. Happy Holidays, Lisa!

  10. Thanks Lisa, and may you and your family have a lovely Christmas too.

  11. Hope you can relax and enjoy, an thank you for your interesting and helpful blog. Many of my friends read books only when they’re on holiday – after reading so many books this year, what else do you do to relax?

  12. My British genes come to the fore at Christmas so we have a traditional indoor meal, with the AC on if it’s hot outside! But AC’s not needed today in Melbourne: it’s a lovely mild day:)
So, it’s just on eight o’clock in the morning, and thanks to a team effort with The Spouse the turkey is in the oven needing only a bit of basting every 45 minutes while I read a book in between, loafing on the sofa till the family arrives for lunch. (I laid the table yesterday, and The Spouse will take care of the vegetables). The Christmas pudding (made weeks ago) was slipped into the slow cooker at midnight last night where I can ignore it until it’s time to ignite it with brandy. (I learned this slow cooker trick from Margaret Fulton and it’s brilliant, so much easier than boiling it up again on the top of the stove).
However you spend the festive season, I hope it brings everyone peace and contentment. Thanks to all of you for your good wishes!

  13. The same for your family too. I acttually get more excited about approaching a new year than I do for Christmas. See you there!!!

  14. And to you and yours, Lisa. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

  15. Merry Christmas Lisa to you and your family. I’ve loved spending virtual time with you this year – thanks so much for your blog.

  16. Thanks everyone for all your good wishes – I hope you had a great day too:)

  17. Merry Christmas Lisa – and thank you.
