I saw this news mentioned on Instagram earlier. Important to mention that this Wales-based prize is open to published writers, anywhere in the world, under the age of 40 writing fiction in the English language. Poetry, novels, short stories and drama are all eligible.

Yes, and that makes it all the more interesting because so many of the other nominees are from Africa or the African diaspora.

I have it here and like Sue want to read it but our book group might read it this next year. I’m waiting for the list that we might get in March. If it is not in that list I’ll go ahead. Everyone I know who’s read it loves it.

I still can’t get over it not being nominated for the Vic Premier’s LitAwards. I really think that they have lost the plot when they don’t recognise a significant novel like Limberlost.

Yes indeed, as you will find out as you struggle with the review. What to include? What to leave out? It is so rich with meaning, it’s a masterclass in expressing thought and feeling.
