Vale Chinua Achebe (1930-2013)

The Africa Book Club is one of my favourite blogs and often the source of books I read and review from the diverse countries of the continent that brings us African writing.

The world has noted the loss of Chinua Achebe, the Nigerian author whose voice was, for most of us in the West, the first African author we ever read.  On my blog, I wanted an African voice to express what his passing means to Africans.

Please click the link to hear from Daniel Mustiitwa, and if you are thinking about buying a book by Chinua Achebe, please consider supporting the Africa Book Club when you do.

Remembering Chinua Achebe.
