Well, only the two novels for me, but then, the Stella crosses genres so it’s not unexpected. Every year, I wonder how they choose between them.

Greetings Lisa & Readers,
Today, I received a few emails about the Stellar Prize shortlist. I’m not familiar with five of the six titles listed. I came across the poetry collection, The Jacquar, while navigating the University of Queensland Press’ website. I’m interested in learning more about the book, We Come With This Place by Dr. Debra Dank. In some online sources, I’ve read that Dr. Dank’s book doesn’t neatly fit into fixed literary genres. Since this book is a culmination of stories based on her childhold, ancestors, and the land she grew up on, I think it aligns with the life story genre.

We Come With This Place is the book I will try to prioritise from this list to read before the winner is announced, but given my befuddled sinustitus mind atm, who knows *insert shrug!
