  3. Well done, and congratulations. How do you find the time to read so many books and give such good reviews?
By the way one for you to read, Shooting the Fox by Marion Halligan. Short stories and they are fantastic.

    • Hello Sherlock, and thanks for the kind words!
Marion Halligan is one of my favourite writers and I think I’ve read nearly everything she’s written except one of her detective novels and Valley of Grace (which is on my TBR). But short stories, oh dear, there are so many collections out there now and they are really not my thing. I feel guilty about this because along with a whole shelf full of them that I’ve bought and not got round to reading, I have a review copy of a fine collection compiled by Black Inc which I am dipping into on and off – but I still haven’t written a review…

  6. Congratulations Lisa,
As someone who has had…wait for it…drum roll…3,823 hits, your number is extremely humbling.
I adore short stories so if you ever want someone to review some for you, let me know.
    Cheers.

  12. My congratulations as well, Lisa. It is wonderful to have a voice in the Antipodes who keeps me informed on fiction there — and the Visa account doesn’t mind the added action.
